​Die-Ann Sagan is a unique author specializing in murder mysteries with compelling stories that are based on real events. With her experience working for the police, her story plots seem so far fetched at times it is hard to tell what could be real files and what are made up entirely! Finding the time is hard but it is a passion as she lives in a very small town of Saskatchewan.

I thoroughly enjoy writing cozy murder mysteries. Naming my first series Blue Moon Murder Mystery series, I have written many novels, having fun with the characters.

The only things I can tell you about myself are that I have had many interesting experiences, and I work for the police. My son was a police officer with many interesting stories too. I also have family within, and many friends involved with law enforcement. Can you imagine our dinner conversations? Mixing in some of my own creative concepts, I have incorporated some of these true events into my stories, however I bet you would not believe which ones are fact and which parts are fiction! Unfortunately, you will never know!!!

If you like the X-files, you may like the new series Sector 13 Curious Case Files. I am fascinated with alternative history, weird facts, strange beings, cryptid monsters, and even the possibility of ancient creatures still being alive today. My new series focuses around all of these possibilities along with fringe science. The stories are a little grittier, filled with action, along with emotion. While it may be a healing process for me, it could be entertainment for you.

Where do you get your ideas?

I'm an avid dreamer, sufferer of nightmares, and I work for the police! With an abundance of interesting interactions happening, it would be a loss to not write about them.

You write about murder and action adventure, how do you get the knowledge?

I believe that the biggest thing to focus on is the storylines and their plausibility is what makes each book so enticing. I always ask myself what could be.

When did you know you wanted to be a writer?

Always. Always and from the very beginning. I loved stories. I devoured books. I lived in the library. I would rather read than go outside if it is miserable out, especially if the weather was less than favorable! Sometimes I would take my books outside and read in the sun or shade. I'd pitch a tent and read 'til dark. I found an old typewriter in storage and began plunking away plots, stories, and poems. It was the days before computers. Imagine how elated I was to get my first computer and write stories all the faster. My friends and teachers would read them. I absolutely loved being able to capture their attention and imagination.

How did you become a writer?

I've always wanted to tell stories and easier publication made it a wonderful opportunity to dabble in. Being part of SheKae Publishing is an exciting adventure to further my books in more markets.
